Brandy Melville

I recently went shopping in Brussels and I discovered a new brand called Brandy Melville. It’s an original Italian brand but inspired by the L.A. lifestyle. The clothes are casual and very original. They also have a lot of special accessories like really cool backpacks and lovely pieces of jewellery. The fun thing about the clothes is that most of them are a ‘one size’.

The decoration of the store is very nice and there is a relaxed atmosphere. I think I almost spent an hour in the store and I finally bought one dress, three tops, two bags and some jewellery.  Luckily the prices aren’t too high.

La Laque Couture Tie & Dye Top Coat By Yves Saint Laurent

Nowadays the tie & dye trend is totally hot again. You can find it in clothes, jewellery, make-up and hair. Another name for the trend is ombre which is mostly used for the specific hairstyle.

On the internet you can find a lot of video's on how to tie & dye things yourself. I once tried to do my nails in an ombre effect but it wasn't really a big success.(I'm not that handy ...) Luckily Yves Saint Laurent has now invented a nail-polish who does the tie & dye work for you. One bottle of nail-polish contains 3 colours. Apparently you just have to dip the brush in the nail-polish and paint your nail in one lenght. It sounds pretty easy but does it work?

Well I certainly can't wait to try it out!

March favorites

This march it was still extremely cold in Belgium. You couldn’t go out without wearing several layers of clothing, a warm coat, some gloves and a scarf. Plus you had to be careful with your shoes because of all the snow.
We have to admit that it isn’t always easy and fun to go shopping in such conditions. It takes way longer to get to the stores, it’s cold when you walk outside and it takes like forever to undress yourself with all those layers. 
Well luckily modern technology has found a solution for this problem. Nowadays you can just snuggle up in your cosy sofa with your laptop and do some online shopping. 
While drinking a warm cup of tea and a hot chocolate we came across a lot of beautiful clothes on the Internet. We selected our favorite pieces and composed two outfits. What do you think about it?

Apparently the Hand (Khamsa)is a sign of protection that also represents blessings, power, and strength, and is seen as potent in deflecting the evil eye (source: Wikipedia) Well I actually only wear it because I think it's pretty and special but it's always nice to find out about the stories behind the symbols.
